Saudia

Saudia, formerly known internationally as Saudi Arabian Airlines, is the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, founded in the mid-1940s and headquartered in Jeddah, with major hubs at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Wholly owned by the Saudi state, the airline plays a central role in carrying the large annual volume of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to Jeddah and Medina alongside its scheduled international network to Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Saudia joined the SkyTeam alliance in 2012 and has been undergoing substantial fleet and network expansion as part of Saudi Arabia's broader Vision 2030 program to grow the kingdom's aviation and tourism capacity, including the planned launch of a second major national carrier, Riyadh Air, as a separate company.
