Malawi Airlines

Malawi Airlines is the flag carrier of Malawi, based in Lilongwe with its hub at Kamuzu International Airport. Established in 2012 after the collapse of the former national carrier Air Malawi, it began commercial service on January 31, 2014, and is 51 percent owned by the Malawian government and 49 percent owned and managed by Ethiopian Airlines under a management contract; the airline reported its first profit in 2021.
