It is now part of the Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine business segment. Actelion focuses on manufacturing drugs that treat rare and orphan diseases, including treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension, a heart condition affecting the lungs, and was among the first companies to work in the field of endothelin receptor antagonists.
