FBD Holdings plc is an Irish insurance company and one of the country's largest property and casualty insurers, established in 1969 under the original name Farmer Business Developments and headquartered in Bluebell, Dublin, with 34 branch offices across Ireland. Its main subsidiary, FBD Insurance plc, underwrites car, home, farm and business insurance for farmers, private individuals and business owners, while the group also offers life and pensions intermediary services. FBD holds the position of Ireland's largest insurer to the agri-sector and ranks among the top five companies in the country's non-health general insurance market.
