Ageas is a Belgian multinational insurance company co-headquartered in Brussels, and is Belgium's largest insurer, operating in 13 countries worldwide. It was renamed from Fortis Holding in April 2010 and consists of the insurance activities that remained after the breakup and sale of the financial services group Fortis during the 2008 financial crisis.
