Banco Comercial Portugues, known by the brand Millennium BCP since 2004, is a Portuguese bank founded in 1985 and the largest private bank in the country, based in Porto with its operational headquarters in Oeiras in the Greater Lisbon area. It provides retail banking, corporate banking, investment banking, insurance and fund management services through about 695 branches in Portugal, serving roughly 4.3 million customers, and maintains international subsidiaries in Poland, Mozambique, Angola and France. The bank is publicly traded on Euronext Lisbon and is directly supervised by the European Central Bank as a Significant Institution.
