Vienna Insurance Group

Vienna Insurance Group AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe, known as VIG, is an Austrian insurance company headquartered in Vienna, founded in 1824 and grown into one of the largest international insurance groups operating in Central and Eastern Europe, employing about 25,000 people and offering both life and general insurance. VIG is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange and the Prague Stock Exchange under the ticker VIG, and in 2018 reported annual revenue of 9.657 billion euros against total assets of 51,163 million euros. Its majority shareholder, Wiener Staedtische Wechselseitiger Versicherungsverein-Vermoegensverwaltung, controls approximately 70 percent of the company.
