Beazley plc

Beazley plc is a British specialist insurance company headquartered in London that underwrites insurance and reinsurance for clients worldwide across Europe, North America and Asia. It was founded in 1986 as Beazley, Furlonge and Hiscox and became independent through a management buyout in 2001. The company manages seven Lloyd's of London syndicates and holds market-leading positions in lines including professional indemnity, directors and officers liability, cyber, marine and political risk insurance. Beazley is listed on the London Stock Exchange as a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index, and in March 2026 Zurich Insurance Group agreed to acquire the company in a deal valued at 8.1 billion pounds.
