MPLX LP is an American midstream master limited partnership that gathers, processes, and transports natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil. The already-live Marathon Petroleum Corporation owns MPLX's general partner and holds a majority limited partner interest, making MPLX the primary vehicle through which Marathon Petroleum's midstream pipeline and processing assets are held and operated.
