APA Corporation

APA Corporation is an American oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Its operating history began in 1954 as Apache Corporation, founded to invest in oil and gas exploration ventures, and the company grew over the following decades into a major independent producer with operations across the United States and internationally. In 2021 Apache reorganized into a holding-company structure and adopted the name APA Corporation, with Apache Corporation continuing to operate as its principal subsidiary. APA produces oil and natural gas from the Permian Basin and other US shale plays, from the North Sea, and from Egypt, and the company has also pursued major offshore discoveries in Suriname in partnership with TotalEnergies.
