NOV Inc.

NOV Inc. is an American oilfield equipment and technology manufacturer headquartered in Houston, Texas, one of the largest suppliers of drilling rig equipment to the global oil and gas industry. The company was formed in 2005 through the merger of National Oilwell, a long-established manufacturer of drilling and production equipment, and Varco International, itself built from a series of oilfield equipment company combinations over the twentieth century, creating National Oilwell Varco. The company shortened its name to NOV Inc. in 2020. NOV designs and manufactures drilling rigs, downhole tools, pumps and other equipment used to drill and complete oil and gas wells both onshore and offshore, supplying drilling contractors and oil companies worldwide.
