L'Occitane Group

L'Occitane Group is a Luxembourg-headquartered multinational holding company in cosmetics, skincare and wellness, built around L'Occitane en Provence, the beauty brand Olivier Baussan founded in 1976. Reinold Geiger, who acquired a controlling stake in the 1990s, remains the controlling shareholder; the company was the first French company to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2010, raising about 787 million dollars, and went private again in April 2024 after a 6.5 billion euro buyout. It has grown through acquisitions including Elemis and a stake in Sol de Janeiro, and now sells across more than 90 countries.
