Hendon Brewery, originally the Kingsbury and Hyde Brewery, was founded in 1851 in the Hyde area of Hendon, London, near the Welsh Harp. Under a succession of owners it grew to produce several hundred barrels of beer a week for distribution across Middlesex and Hertfordshire, survived two major fires in 1878 and 1894, and closed in 1959 after Truman's Brewery had acquired it in 1920.
