Nøgne Ø is a Norwegian brewery founded in January 2002 by Gunnar Wiig and Kjetil Jikiun. Its name, Norwegian for Naked Isle, was drawn from the nineteenth century poem Terje Vigen by Henrik Ibsen, and the brewery has appeared on RateBeer's list of the world's top 100 breweries in most years since 2006.
