Grolsch is a Dutch brewery founded in 1615 by Willem Neerfeldt in Groenlo, Netherlands, headquartered today in Enschede. The de Groen family purchased the brewery in 1895 and held a controlling stake until 2007, after which it passed to SABMiller in 2008, then Anheuser-Busch InBev, and finally to Asahi Group Holdings in 2016. As of 2006 it was the second-largest brewer in the Netherlands after Heineken, producing around 320 million liters annually and holding the Royal, or Koninklijk, title granted in 1995; it is known for its distinctive swing-top bottle and was party to a 2007 European Commission price-fixing case.
