Alken-Maes is a Belgian brewery formed from the 1988 merger of two smaller breweries, Maes of Kontich-Waarloos and Cristal-Alken of Alken. It was bought by Scottish and Newcastle in 2000, which was itself taken over by Heineken in 2007.
