Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA is a Swiss luxury goods holding company headquartered in the Geneva area, founded by South African businessman Johann Rupert in 1988. It owns a portfolio of high-end jewelry and watch brands, including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget and Jaeger-LeCoultre, and is one of the largest luxury goods conglomerates in the world alongside LVMH and Kering.
