Tweetsie Railroad is a family oriented Wild West theme park located between Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina, in the United States. Its centerpiece is a three mile ride on a train pulled by one of the park's two historic narrow gauge steam locomotives. The park opened on July 4, 1957, founded by Blowing Rock entrepreneur Grover Robbins, and also features amusement rides, live performances, a zoo, and seasonal events built around Halloween and Christmas themes. It remains under the control of the Robbins family through the operating company Tweetsie Railroad, Inc.
