Legoland California

Legoland California is a Lego-themed amusement park in Carlsbad, California, about 35 miles north of San Diego. It opened on March 20, 1999, as the first Legoland park built outside Europe. Merlin Entertainments acquired a controlling interest in the resort in 2005 and continues to operate it today. The resort grew from the original theme park into a wider complex that also includes a water park, an aquarium and two hotels, spread across 128 acres with more than 60 rides, shows and attractions. Its success led Merlin to open two further Legoland parks in the United States, Legoland Florida in 2011 and Legoland New York in 2021.
