Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. is an American hospitality company headquartered in McLean, Virginia, tracing its origin to Conrad Hilton, who bought his first hotel in Cisco, Texas in 1919 and built it into a nationwide and later global hotel business. It operates and franchises hotels under a large portfolio of brands including Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria, DoubleTree, Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites, and is one of the largest hotel companies in the world by number of rooms.
