Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a 335 acre animal theme park in Tampa, Florida, landscaped and designed around the theme of Africa. It opened on March 31, 1959, and is owned and operated by United Parks & Resorts. The park combines roller coasters and other thrill rides with animal exhibits, and its annual attendance consistently exceeds four million visitors, typically ranking second among United Parks & Resorts properties behind SeaWorld Orlando.
