Golden West Farms

Golden West Farms was a Canadian Thoroughbred horse racing stable and breeding farm at Okotoks, Alberta, owned by businessmen Frank McMahon and Max Bell. The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame called it by far the most elaborate thoroughbred breeding farm between Ontario and British Columbia, and it bred or owned notable horses including Kentucky Derby winner Majestic Prince and Irish Derby champion Meadow Court, the latter owned in partnership with Bing Crosby. The operation was active through the 1960s and was dissolved in 1972 following Max Bell's death.
