Chessington World of Adventures

Chessington World of Adventures Resort is a theme park, zoo and hotel complex in Chessington, Greater London, England, about 12 miles southwest of Central London, covering 128 acres. The site opened as a zoo in 1931, and its theme park opened on 7 July 1987, becoming one of the first combined animal and amusement parks in the United Kingdom. It is owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments, following a 2007 merger between Merlin Entertainments and The Tussauds Group. The resort holds 34 attractions, including five roller coasters and three water rides, and drew about 1.5 million visitors in 2022.
