Alsea is a Mexican multi brand restaurant operator headquartered in Mexico City, founded on May 16, 1997, that functions as a holding company managing fast food, casual dining and cafeteria style restaurants across Latin America and Europe. It operates more than 3,000 restaurant units and employs about 60,000 people under brands including Starbucks, Burger King, Dominos, Chilis, Vips, The Cheesecake Factory, Popeyes, Chipotle and Raising Canes, and in 2014 reported revenue of approximately 1.7 billion dollars across Mexico, Spain, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy and France.
