Sanrio Puroland

Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park dedicated to Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody and Cinnamoroll, located in Tama New Town, Tokyo, Japan, and owned by Sanrio and operated by Sanrio Entertainment Co., Ltd. It opened on December 7, 1990, on a 45,900 square meter site, and operates in a manner similar to Disney theme parks, drawing more than 1.5 million visitors a year and ranking among Japan's major theme parks alongside Tokyo Disney Resort and Fuji Q Highland. Sanrio also operates a second, outdoor theme park, Harmonyland, in Oita Prefecture.
