Legoland Sichuan is a Lego-themed resort under development in Shigao, in the Tianfu New Area of Sichuan province, China. It is being built as a joint venture between Merlin Entertainments, which will operate the completed resort, and Global Zhongjun Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd, with construction beginning in June 2020 on a 57 hectare site. The planned resort includes a theme park, a water park, and two hotels totaling 500 rooms across ten themed areas, at an estimated cost of about 412 million US dollars. Construction was originally planned to finish in time for a 2025 opening but had stalled indefinitely as of the most recent reporting.
