Haw Par Villa

Haw Par Villa is a theme park in Queenstown, Singapore, built by Burmese Chinese brothers Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par, the creators of Tiger Balm, on land purchased in 1935 and opened in 1937. The 8.5 hectare park displays more than 1,000 statues and 150 giant dioramas depicting scenes from Chinese literature, folklore, legend and history, and it is now owned by the Singapore Tourism Board and considered part of Singapore's cultural heritage. In 2021 the Hell's Museum, described as the world's first museum devoted to death and the afterlife, opened on its grounds.
