Bianyifang

Bianyifang is a restaurant in Beijing, China, known for its Peking duck, established in 1416 during the Ming dynasty as a small tavern-like workshop serving duck and chicken dishes in the citys Caishikou area. Its name, meaning fair price and considerate service, was reportedly bestowed by the Ming dynasty official Yang Jisheng around 1552. Under owner Sun Zijiu the restaurant expanded from 1827, with Peking duck becoming its signature dish, and its Xianyukou branch, opened in 1855 near Qianmen, remains in operation today. Bianyifang now operates as a restaurant chain under the Bianyifang Group, running eight branches in Beijing and three more in other Chinese provinces.
