Currys plc, formerly known as Currys PC World until mid-2021, is a British electrical retailer and aftercare service provider operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland, specializing in white goods, consumer electronics, computers and mobile phones. The company traces its roots to a bicycle manufacturer founded in 1884 and became a major electrical retailer after being acquired by Dixons in 1984.
