Longbridge Plant

Consumer Discretionary

Longbridge is the car factory in Birmingham where Rover built the Rover 200 and its successor the Rover 25 from 1984 until 2005, over four generations. The Rover 75 was assembled at Cowley at first, and in 2000, after the sale of the company by BMW to Phoenix Venture Holdings, its production was moved to Longbridge. Production there was suspended in April 2005 when MG Rover Group went into administration, and Nanjing Automobile then prepared to reopen the site.
