Toyota Motor Thailand is the Thai arm that Toyota Motor Corporation wholly owns, set up in 1962. It began making pressed body parts in 1979 and engines in 1989, and it controls the manufacturing of Toyota cars in Thailand and supplies dealers, with the ASEAN region and Oceania as main export markets.
