The Kenya News Agency, known by the initials KNA, is a government run national news agency created in 1963 and headquartered in Nairobi, operated by the Department of Information within the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology. Reporters in 72 county and sub county offices supply news to the National Editorial Desk in Nairobi, which disseminates it to media companies in Kenya and around the world, alongside electronic and television news, mobile cinema and photographic services.
