DreamWorks Animation

DreamWorks Animation L.L.C. is an American animation studio based in Glendale, California that produces animated feature films, television series and short films. It began in 1994 as the animation division of DreamWorks Pictures and was spun off as an independent publicly traded company in 2004, going on to release franchises that won multiple Academy Awards and Annie Awards starting with its first film, Antz, in 1998. NBCUniversal acquired the studio for 3.8 billion dollars in 2016, and it now operates as a subsidiary within NBCUniversal's Universal Pictures division under parent company Comcast.
