9 Story Media Group

9 Story Media Group, formerly known as 9 Story Entertainment, is a Canadian media production, animation studio and distribution company. It was founded in September 2002 by Vince Commisso and Steven Jarosz. It succeeded the earlier Portfolio Entertainment, and its infobox lists divisions covering brands, creative affairs and international distribution, and subsidiaries including 9 Story Interactive, 9 Story USA, Brown Bag Films Toronto and Colorforms. It is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and the infobox records about 1,100 employees in 2019. In 2024 Scholastic Corporation agreed to acquire complete economic interest and minority voting rights in the company, a deal that closed in June 2024 and leaves Scholastic listed as its parent in the infobox. Its former name 9 Story Entertainment was used from 2002 to 2014.
