Deutsche Telekom AG is a German multinational telecommunications company headquartered in Bonn, formed in 1995 when the telecommunications arm of the former state postal and telecommunications monopoly Deutsche Bundespost was reorganized as a corporation ahead of a public listing in 1996. It is the largest telecommunications company in Europe by revenue, operating fixed-line and mobile networks in Germany and other European countries, and it holds a majority stake in the American carrier T-Mobile US.
