Oslonett was Norway's first internet service provider, founded on December 12, 1991 in Oslo by a group of University of Oslo alumni. It launched Norway's first commercial website in 1993 and provided live web coverage of the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer before being acquired by Schibsted in 1995 and folded into Telenor's Scandinavia Online service in 1997.
