Yugoimport-SDPR is a Serbian and formerly Yugoslav state-owned weapons manufacturer and intermediary for the import and export of defense-related equipment, headquartered in Belgrade with production facilities in Velika Plana, Kursumlija, Pancevo and Uzici. The company was founded in 1949 by decree of Yugoslav Prime Minister Josip Broz Tito, originally to import parts and raw materials for the domestic defense industry; it began exporting weapons in 1953 as domestic production outgrew the home market.
