Westland Helicopters was a British aircraft manufacturer that began as Westland Aircraft and concentrated on helicopters after the Second World War. It was amalgamated with several other British firms in 1960 and 1961. Its best-known products included the Westland Sea King and the Westland Lynx. In 2000 it merged with the Italian helicopter maker Agusta to form AgustaWestland, and in 2016 AgustaWestland was merged into Leonardo, where it became the helicopters division operating under the Leonardo Helicopters brand. The company was headquartered at Yeovil in Somerset.
