Vincent Motorcycles was a British manufacturer of motorcycles from 1928 to 1955, based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The business was established by Philip Vincent, who bought the existing HRD name and initially renamed it Vincent HRD, producing his own motorcycles as HRD had done with engines bought in as complete assemblies. From 1934 two new engines were developed, a single cylinder in 500 cc and a V-twin in 1,000 cc capacities, and production grew from 1936. The firm also made three-wheelers, pumps, amphibious vehicles and drones, and it was declared bankrupt in 1959.
