Treni Regionali Ticino Lombardia

Treni Regionali Ticino Lombardia, known as TiLo, is a Swiss Italian railway operator founded on 14 June 2004 as a joint venture equally owned by the Italian railway company Trenord and the Swiss Federal Railways, each holding 50 percent. The company runs regional trains connecting the Swiss canton of Ticino with the Lombardy region of Italy, operating standard gauge services on the S10, S20, S30, S40, S50 and S90 lines as well as the RegioExpress line RE80. Its routes link major cities including Lugano, Chiasso, Bellinzona and Milan, and the company was created specifically to develop cross border passenger traffic between Switzerland and Italy, carrying millions of passengers a year.
