Tofaş is a Turkish automobile manufacturer established in 1968 by Vehbi Koç, who founded Koç Holding, and based in Bursa, where its plant is located. It is jointly owned by Stellantis and Koç Holding. It makes passenger cars and light commercial vehicles at Bursa for several brands, with about 7,000 employees and an annual capacity of 450,000 vehicles. Its first model in 1971 was the Fiat 124, built under licence and sold locally as the Murat 124. It built the sedan that was sold as the third generation Dodge Neon in Mexico and the Middle East, using the Fiat Tipo platform.
