The Clorox Company is an American consumer products company headquartered in Oakland, California, founded in 1913 by a group of investors to manufacture liquid bleach, one of the first companies to produce it commercially in the United States. It grew into a broad household and personal care products company, selling cleaning, disinfecting and other consumer goods under brands including Clorox, Pine-Sol, Glad and Burt's Bees.
