Sun Life Financial is a Canadian international financial services company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, founded in 1865 as Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada. It provides life and health insurance, wealth management and asset management products and services, operating across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and a number of Asian markets including Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Vietnam. Sun Life trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange and the Philippine Stock Exchange, manages well over a trillion Canadian dollars in assets, and employs more than 30,000 people worldwide.
