Sinopec, formally China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, is a Chinese state-owned oil and gas enterprise based in Beijing, administered by the state asset regulator for the benefit of China's State Council. It is the world's largest oil refining conglomerate and among the highest-revenue companies in the world, operating a publicly traded subsidiary listed in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
