Siemens Healthineers AG

Siemens Healthineers AG is a German medical technology company headquartered in Erlangen, one of the largest makers of medical imaging and diagnostic equipment in the world. It grew out of Siemens AG's long-standing healthcare division, which had produced X-ray and imaging equipment since the early twentieth century, and was carved out as a separately branded and eventually separately listed company through a share offering completed in 2018. Siemens Healthineers manufactures magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography scanners, X-ray and ultrasound systems, and laboratory diagnostics equipment, and its Varian subsidiary, acquired in 2021, makes radiation therapy equipment for cancer treatment. Siemens AG has continued to hold a majority stake in the company since its stock market listing.
