D.R. Horton, Inc. is an American home construction company based in Arlington, Texas, founded in 1978 by Donald R. Horton, who took the company public in 1992. Since 2002 it has been the largest homebuilder by volume in the United States, operating in 125 markets across 36 states, and it ranked 120th on the 2024 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by revenue.
