SAS Group, formally Scandinavian Airlines System, is the flag carrier airline group of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, headquartered near Stockholm and formed in 1946 through the merger of three national airlines. Historically majority-owned by the three Scandinavian governments, the group underwent a Chapter 11 restructuring completed in 2023-2024 that brought in a new ownership consortium including Air France-KLM, and it remains a member of the Star Alliance.
