Sage Group plc

Sage Group plc is a British multinational enterprise software company headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, founded there in 1981 by David Goldman, Paul Muller and Graham Wylie. The company makes accounting, payroll and broader business management software aimed chiefly at small and medium-sized businesses, sold under the Sage brand across many national markets. Sage grew substantially through acquisitions of smaller accounting-software companies in different countries over the 1990s and 2000s, building a large international customer base of small business owners who use its software to manage bookkeeping and payroll.
