Russo-Balt, also spelled Russobalt or Russo-Baltique, was one of the first Russian companies to produce motor vehicles and aircraft, active between 1909 and 1923. It was the works behind the Sikorsky Ilya Muromets, the large four-engined bomber and airliner designed by Igor Sikorsky, which the Russo-Baltic Wagon Factory is listed as manufacturing. The firm shows how early Russian manufacturing of wheeled vehicles, automobiles and aeroplanes grew together in a single industrial enterprise.
