Renault is a French multinational automobile manufacturer established in 1899 and headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, a suburb of Paris. Alongside its namesake marque it owns the Alpine and Dacia brands, and it has been part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance since 1999, with the French state and Nissan of Japan historically each holding significant ownership stakes.
